Billionaire Tom Hunter has donated £1 Billion pounds. He will donate 100 million per year over ten years.

Tom Hunter and his wife Marion created The Hunter Foundation in 1998. They will donate the money to sustainable development causes and research.

Hunter attended the Business School of the University of Strathclyde and made his first fortune selling JJB Sports for 250 million after starting his business selling trainers out the back of a van.
