Sir Bob Geldof Given Honorary Degree

The University of East London have recognised Sir Bob Geldof for his contribution to music, the arts and humanity, giving him an honorary degree.
The humanitarian campaigner, most famous for pushing the 1985 Live Aid event through, joined students graduating in science and technology.
Bob Geldof accepted the degree, an Honorary Doctorate in music, at a ceremony at London’s Barbican Centre.
