Hugh Grant has spoken publicly praising the government’s funding increase to the Marie Curie Cancer Care charity.
The actor, also an ambassador for Marie Curie, emphasised the importance of the charity’s work, providing free nurses to care for terminally ill cancer patients.
The £4.5 million government pledge has been welcomed by Grant and the charity, celebrating their 60th anniversary this week.
Hugh Grant first became aware of Marie Curie Cancer Cure when his mother fell terminally ill with cancer, dying in 2001.
